The Methodist Church Ghana has inducted Rt. Rev. Dr. Kris Ewuntomah as the seventh Bishop of the Tamale Diocese, following his election to lead the Diocese. The induction service was led by the Presiding Bishop, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu.
Clergy, lay representatives and members of the Church gathered for the service to witness the formal induction of the new Bishop. Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah’s election is in line with the Church’s leadership arrangements, under which Bishops serve six-year terms.
He succeeds the immediate past Bishop of the Tamale Diocese, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Beka, who led the Diocese before the leadership transition.
As the new Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah is expected to work with the clergy and laity to strengthen the Church’s ministry, promote spiritual growth among members and advance the mission of the Methodist Church Ghana across the Tamale Diocese.
His responsibilities include providing spiritual leadership, guiding ministers and overseeing the activities of the Church within the Diocese.
The induction marks the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of the Tamale Diocese as Bishop Ewuntomah assumes office as its seventh Bishop.
