The Methodist Church Ghana has inducted Rt. Rev. Dr. Kris Ewuntomah as the 6th Bishop of the Tamale Diocese, following his election to lead the Diocese. The induction service, led by the Presiding Bishop, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, brought together clergy, lay representatives and members of the Church for the occasion.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah takes over from the immediate past Bishop of the Tamale Diocese, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Beka, marking a transition in the spiritual leadership and administration of the Diocese.
As he assumes office, the new Bishop is expected to work closely with ministers, lay leaders and congregations to strengthen the Church’s ministry and advance its mission across the Tamale Diocese. His leadership will also involve providing spiritual direction, guiding ministers and overseeing the various activities and institutions of the Church within the Diocese.
The transition comes as the Methodist Church Ghana continues to rely on the collaboration of clergy and laity in advancing its spiritual and social mission. Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah’s tenure is expected to focus on sustaining the work of the Diocese, promoting spiritual growth among members and strengthening the Church’s presence in the communities it serves.
