The Methodist Church Ghana is today climaxing its 190th Anniversary celebrations with a grand thanksgiving and heritage showcase, reflecting nearly two centuries of unwavering faith and service.
As part of the celebrations, members toured heritage sites and viewed treasured relics belonging to pioneering leaders who laid the foundations of the Methodist Society in Ghana, notably the historic Wesley Methodist Church in the Cape Coast Diocese—the first Methodist society in the country.
The occasion is being graced by the Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese, Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam, alongside the Diocesan Lay leadership, with the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Asamoah Gyedu, also in attendance.
Societies across the nation have been encouraged to wear the official anniversary cloth or other appropriate attire to mark the significance of the day, which is expected to be one of the most memorable gatherings in the church’s history.
With 190 years behind it, the Methodist Church Ghana continues to celebrate a legacy of faith, resilience, and community service—thanking God for His guidance while looking forward to the future.
