Some military personnel deployed to Bawku in the Upper East Region were involved in a road accident at Nkenkesu in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, July 26.
Preliminary information indicates that the crash involved a military vehicle transporting the personnel and a State Transport Corporation (STC) bus.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene to support rescue operations, regulate traffic and commence preliminary investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Emergency responders also assisted in attending to the injured while efforts were made to clear the road and restore the normal flow of traffic.
The cause of the collision has not yet been established, and investigations are underway to determine what led to the crash.
