Koforidua will be the gathering point for hundreds of faithful as the Connexional Union of Methodist Singing Bands holds its 29th Biennial Delegates’ Conference from October 1–5, 2025. The event will take place at the SDA College of Education in Asokore-Koforidua under the theme “Growing Into Christian Maturity.

The much-anticipated conference will officially commence on Wednesday, October 1, with the arrival and registration of delegates from across the country and beyond. A series of activities, including worship services, workshops, musical ministrations, and plenary sessions, has been lined up to run through the five-day programme.
The Presiding Bishop of The Methodist Church Ghana, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Asamoah-Gyadu will grace the occasion, alongside a host of Ministers, church leaders, and dignitaries who are expected to participate in the proceedings. The gathering will provide a platform not only for fellowship and spiritual renewal but also for strengthening the role of singing bands in the life and mission of the Church.
Organizers say this year’s theme calls members of the Singing Bands to reflect on their growth in faith, service, and discipleship. The conference will also serve as a forum to deliberate on the future of the Connexional Union, exploring how music and worship can continue to inspire transformation within the Church and society.
The Methodist Singing Bands have long been central to worship in Ghana, offering vibrant musical expressions that connect congregations to the heart of Methodist spirituality. The 29th Biennial Conference is expected to reaffirm this heritage while encouraging members to live out their faith in greater maturity and service.
At the close of the gathering on October 5, delegates will rejoin their churches equipped with fresh vision, deeper unity, and a reinforced dedication to their mission in Christ.
