The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Asamoah-Gyadu, has pledged his support to strengthen the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade in the Fosu Diocese, assuring that children without uniforms will be assisted.
Speaking during the Brigade parade at the Diocese’s 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving celebrations on Sunday, the Presiding Bishop highlighted the importance of the youth ministry in shaping the future of the church. He emphasized that no child should be left behind due to the lack of uniforms or resources.
“I will support the children who do not have Brigade uniforms so that they can fully participate and proudly identify with this ministry,” he stated.
He further charged the Fosu Diocesan Lay Chairperson to take stock of the children’s needs and communicate them so that timely support can be provided. The Presiding Bishop added that his vision is to make the Brigade in the Diocese stronger, more vibrant, and a model for others.
The Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade lit up the anniversary with a spirited parade, witnessed by clergy, leaders, and members of the congregation. Their display of discipline and commitment stood as a vivid reminder of the strength and promise of the church’s youth.
