The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Asamoah-Gyadu, has called on Christians to embrace praise as a constant part of their daily lives, stressing that thanksgiving has the power to uplift the soul and build a vibrant church.
Delivering his keynote address at the Grand Durbar of the Fosu Diocese 10th Anniversary on Saturday, September 1, 2025, the Presiding Bishop reminded the congregation that the strength of every diocese lies in gratitude and worship. “If we want God to build a vibrant diocese, we must always bring praise to Him. Praise should be part of every aspect of our lives,” he urged.
The Presiding Bishop further noted that, as part of its contribution to community development, the Methodist Church Ghana will build a kindergarten facility at Assin Nyakomase. He added that the church will also employ teachers for the first two years to ensure the children receive a strong educational foundation.
The Presiding Bishop commended the Bishop of the Fosu Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Dr. William Supt. (Rtd) Anthony Brown, for his dedication and selfless service over the past decade. “The Diocese has been blessed by your tireless efforts and commitment. You have given your all to the work of God and to the people,” he noted.
The 10th Anniversary celebrations continue with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, September 7, as the Diocese crowns a decade of growth, worship, and service to both the church and the wider community.
