The 2025 Expanded General Purposes Council Meeting (EGPC) and the 190th Anniversary celebrations of the Methodist Church Ghana continue to inspire both clergy and members across the nation.
Among those deeply moved by the ongoing events is Rev. Charles Takyi Amoah, a Minister of the Methodist Church Ghana, who described the gathering as “a memorable and one-of-a-kind experience.”
Speaking in an exclusive interview with WTV on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Rev. Amoah expressed heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to participate in such a historic moment. He revealed that this was his very first time attending the EGPC, noting that the experience brought him great relief, joy, and renewed inspiration for ministry.
“This has been more than just a program; it is an encounter of fellowship, reflection, and shared vision. I am truly grateful for the experience and wish to see more of such impactful gatherings as the celebration continues,” he said.
His reflections, though brief, carried a deep sense of optimism and encouragement. He emphasized that the 190th Anniversary should not only be remembered as a milestone of history but as a moment that strengthens unity, faith, and commitment to the gospel among Methodists and the wider Christian community.
The Methodist Church Ghana, through the EGPC and anniversary celebrations, has brought together leaders, ministers, and members nationwide to reflect on 190 years of mission, witness, and service to God and country. For Rev. Amoah and many others, this is more than an anniversary—it is a spiritual renewal and a call to continue building a stronger Church for the future.
As the celebrations proceed, the Church invites all Methodists and well-wishers to share in the journey of thanksgiving, faith, and anticipation for the next chapter of its mission.
