The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced plans to restore access to its National Service Portal, which has been offline due to an ongoing forensic audit of its Central Management System (CMS).
The CMS was suspended last month by the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment following growing concerns over irregularities and the discovery of widespread ghost names in the digital postings platform.
The suspension has caused significant delays in the registration process for the 2025/26 cohort, leaving thousands of prospective service personnel uncertain about their status.
Speaking to Citi News on Sunday, July 20, the Director-General of the NSA, Felix Gyamfi, explained that the system would remain inactive until the audit, commissioned by the President, is complete.
“The President ordered the Audit Service to conduct a forensic investigation into the current system. That process is ongoing, and it’s important we allow the auditors to complete their work,” Gyamfi stated.
He emphasized that the audit’s outcome would determine whether the existing CMS is maintained or replaced. “The final decision rests with the President, and once it’s made, we will comply accordingly,” he added.
On the issue of unpaid allowances, Mr. Gyamfi assured that June 2025 payments would be made by the end of the day.
“We are currently processing June allowances for all service personnel. We ask for a bit more patience as the funds are disbursed,” he said.
The NSA has urged all affected personnel and the public to remain calm as the Authority works toward resolving the issue and restoring normal operations.
