The Most Reverend Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, is set to embark on a pastoral visit to the United States beginning Monday, July 7, 2025.
This official visit is expected to foster spiritual renewal, leadership engagement, and fellowship with ministers, societies, and members within the circuit.
Upon arrival, the Presiding Bishop will be formally received by the circuit leadership and a delegation representing various societies. This welcome will usher in a week of significant pastoral engagements and ministry-focused activities.
The visit will feature both virtual and in-person meetings with ministers, society, and circuit leaders to engage in discussions on discipleship, leadership development, and church growth. An interactive session with young adults will also be held, aimed at inspiring the next generation of church leaders.
In addition, the Presiding Bishop will offer pastoral mentorship and spiritual counsel through one-on-one sessions. A brigade parade night will take place at Emmanuel Methodist Church (Newark) to celebrate the contributions of youth in church ministry.
The visit will culminate in a special divine service at EMC, bringing together delegations from all societies for a time of thanksgiving, prayer, and renewed commitment to the mission of the Church.
This pastoral visit underscores the Church’s commitment to strengthening fellowship, encouraging discipleship, and equipping leaders across the globe.
The presence of the Presiding Bishop promises spiritual upliftment and renewed purpose for all involved.
All members and societies are encouraged to prepare prayerfully and participate fully in the scheduled activities.
