Public support for the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, widely known as Mahama Cares, is already making a visible difference, according to the Fund’s latest message to Ghanaians.
In an emotional message shared on its official Facebook page on Monday morning, the Fund acknowledged the compassion shown by individuals whose contributions have brought renewed hope to patients and families battling life-threatening medical conditions.
The Fund noted that the impact of the donations extends far beyond financial figures, reaching hospital wards and homes where uncertainty once dominated. It described the generosity of donors as a powerful force that has transformed fear into comfort and despair into optimism.
Mahama Cares stressed that every contribution represents a deliberate choice to preserve life, adding that the collective goodwill of Ghanaians continues to strengthen the country’s healthcare support system.
As part of its outreach, the Fund appealed to those yet to contribute to join the initiative, stressing that even modest donations can make a meaningful difference.
To make giving accessible, the Fund has provided several donation options, including mobile money payments via *255# on all networks, as well as direct bank transfers to the National Investment Bank, Airport Branch (Account: 1135105341202), and First Atlantic Bank, Head Office Branch (Account: 2613171101016).
The Fund encouraged sustained support throughout the month, expressing confidence that continued generosity will translate into more lives saved and more families restored to hope.
