Popular Kumawood actor and producer Abraham Davis, widely known as Salinko, together with his wife, the Administrative Steward of Ascension Methodist Church, surprised the society Minister, The Very Rev. Stephen Baffour Awuah, with a brand new car as a gesture of gratitude.
The announcement left the minister and congregants deeply moved, highlighting the strong bond between the church leadership and its members.
The couple, who were married last year at Ascension Methodist Church, explained that the gift was a token of appreciation for Very. Rev. Awuah’s guidance, mentorship, and spiritual leadership.
Salinko noted that due to his demanding schedule, he might not be able to attend the minister’s official send-off. “We wanted to present the gift early and wish him well as he prepares for his new role,” he said.
The Rev. Minister was visibly emotional upon receiving the generous gift, expressing heartfelt thanks to the couple. “I am deeply touched by this thoughtful gesture and the love behind it. This is a moment I will always cherish,” he remarked.
The Very Rev. Baffour Awuah is set to be transferred to a new society, where he will serve as Superintendent Minister. His official send-off is scheduled for September 28, 2025, at Ascension Methodist Church, offering the congregation an opportunity to celebrate his service and dedication.
The gift from Salinko and the Administrative Steward not only recognizes Very Rev. Awuah’s commitment but also underscores the values of gratitude, fellowship, and mutual respect within the church community. It serves as a reminder that thoughtful acts of generosity can strengthen ties and honor those who dedicate their lives to spiritual service.
