The Government of Ghana has condemned what it described as an “unprovoked Israeli attack” on Qatar, which resulted in casualties, destruction of property, and loss of lives.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 10, 2025, Ghana said the airstrikes were a violation of international law and a threat to peace efforts between Israel and Palestine.
President John Dramani Mahama expressed solidarity with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of Qatar, commending the Gulf state for its role in mediating peace in the Middle East.
Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, dialogue, and respect for sovereignty in the region.
