Stay patient over appointments – asiedu nketia to ndc supporters

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party supporters who are yet to receive government appointments to remain calm, stressing that the current administration cannot offer positions to everyone at the same time.

He explained that constitutional restrictions limit the number of appointments the President can make, making it impossible to immediately reward all party members who contributed to the party’s electoral success.

Speaking at a meeting in Winneba within the Effutu Constituency on Thursday, February 12, Mr. Asiedu Nketia admitted that some supporters feel disappointed but assured them that party leaders are aware of their concerns.

“I know some of you are unhappy because you have not been appointed since we returned to power. That is understandable. It is why I am on this ‘Thank You Tour’ — to help everyone better understand the situation,” he said.

He added that even under John Dramani Mahama, the number of available roles is limited, meaning appointments must be done gradually.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia further advised party members to avoid expressing anger or criticising the party publicly. Instead, he encouraged them to use internal party structures to address their grievances while remaining committed to the party’s long-term goals.
