The Tamale Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana has welcomed its new Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Kris Ewuntomah, as the Church begins a new Church Year.
He formally took over from the immediate past Bishop, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Beka, at a handing-over ceremony in Tamale attended by clergy, Lay representatives and members of the Diocese.
In his remarks, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah commended his predecessor for his service and contributions to the growth of the Diocese, pledging to continue and build on the good work achieved during his tenure.
He called for unity, cooperation and commitment among the clergy and Lay leadership, saying the progress of the Diocese would require the collective efforts of all members.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Ewuntomah also expressed his readiness to work with the various structures of the Church to strengthen its ministry, evangelism and service to communities across the Diocese.
The ceremony formed part of activities marking the beginning of a new Church Year, ushering the Methodist Church Ghana into another season of worship, service, evangelism and spiritual renewal.
The Tamale Diocese is expected to continue its work in evangelism, Christian education, social intervention and community development under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Dr. Kris Ewuntomah.
