Real Madrid eased past Austrian side WSG Tirol with a convincing 4-0 victory in their only pre-season friendly, played at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol.
Manager Xabi Alonso fielded a strong starting XI, including summer signings Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras, who all lined up in defence alongside Eder Militao. The match marked Carreras’ first appearance for the club following his move from Benfica.
Militao opened the scoring midway through the first half, rising to meet an Arda Güler cross and looping a header into the far corner. The Brazilian defender’s goal came just a week after his spectacular strike in the win over Leganés.
Only three minutes later, Kylian Mbappé doubled the lead. The French forward latched onto a pass from Güler, spun away from his marker and calmly slotted past the advancing Tirol goalkeeper.
Real Madrid maintained control throughout, with the newcomers integrating well and showing early signs of promise ahead of the new season.
