The Presiding Bishop of The Methodist Church Ghana, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson K. Asamoah-Gyadu, together with the church’s executive and led by a Past Presiding Bishop, Prof. Emmanuel Asante, paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The visit included key church leaders such as the Administrative Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Impere Gyekye; the Lay President, Bro. Kwasi Atta; the Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Stephen Kwaku Owusu; and the Synod Secretary, Very Rev. Benjamin Ansong. The church also took the opportunity to formally introduce the Presiding Bishop to the Asantehene following his assumption of office as head of the Methodist Church Ghana.
In his brief remarks, Presiding Bishop Prof. K. Asamoah-Gyadu expressed gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his enduring love and support for the church, assuring him of the Methodist Church Ghana’s continued prayers and backing for the development of his kingdom.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in response, advised the Presiding Bishop to lead the church with the passion of Christ, urging him to emulate Christ’s example of embracing all people, including sinners, into His presence.KIL3
