The Methodist Church Ghana today, August 20, held a solemn memorial service in honour of 13 ministers who passed on within the past year after serving the Church in various leadership roles.
The service formed part of the formal opening, memorial, and communion service of the 13th Expanded General Purposes Council (EGPC) Meeting, currently underway at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral, Cape Coast.

The late ministers, who had served faithfully in diverse capacities including as Circuit Ministers, Superintendent Ministers, and Bishops, were remembered in prayer and thanksgiving. Their names were each mentioned three times, with the congregation responding in unison, “Thanks be to God.” Following this solemn act, the Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese, the Right Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam, committed their souls to God in prayer.
The memorial service was graced by the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Professor Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, the Administrative Bishop, the Right Rev. Dr. William Mpere-Gyekye, and the Lay President, Bro. Kwesi Atta Antwi.

Also in attendance were past and serving bishops of the Methodist Church Ghana, alongside traditional authorities including the Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, and elders of the Oguaa Traditional Council.
The atmosphere reflected deep reverence and gratitude for the lifelong dedication and ministry of the departed clergy, whose service continues to inspire the Church.
