Europe Missions Singing Band holds maiden conference

The Europe Missions Singing Band recently held its maiden conference at the Wesley Methodist Church International in Deurne, Antwerp.

The event brought together various organizations from the Methodist Church Ghana, including the Women’s Fellowship, Methodist Youth Fellowship, Choir, Susana Wesley Auxiliary, and Methodist Men’s Fellowship.

The chairman for the occasion, Sister Nancy Acquah from the Susana Wesley Auxiliary, accepted her role and pledged support for the program.

The Very Rev. Dr. Bosompem Isaac S. Amoah, Superintendent Minister for the Holland Circuit, preached on the theme “Discipleship, Growing into Christian Maturity: The Role of the Singing Band.”

The Very. Rev. Dr. Amoah emphasized that Christian maturity starts with a new birth experience, stressing the importance of a personal and saving encounter with Jesus Christ.

He noted that this encounter ushers individuals into personal growth in Christ, enabling them to move into maturity.

The Rev. Minister focused on Methodist Hymn Book 422, “Blessed Assurance Jesus is Mine,” highlighting the need for a close relationship with God to live a life that honors His name.

He further advised the delegates to draw closer to God, allowing Him to work on their spirits and guide them in their walk with Him. He encouraged the Singing Band to be conscious of their important role in the service of the church, worshiping God, and evangelizing to all. The minister urged the delegates to crucify their flesh, allowing God to take dominance in their lives.

The maiden conference of the Europe Missions Singing Band provided a platform for the band members to come together, worship, and grow in their faith. As they continue to serve the church through music and worship, the conference served as a reminder of the importance of discipleship and Christian maturity in their ministry.
