The Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese, Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam, has shed profound light on the rich heritage of the Methodist Church Ghana, emphasizing its enduring role in nurturing Christian values across the nation.
He noted that the Methodist Church has stood as a true beacon of faith, discipline, and community transformation, positively shaping lives both spiritually and socially.
In an interview on WTV’s Morning Show, “Sore Na Hyeren” on 18th August 2025, Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam encouraged members who wish to deepen their understanding of the Church’s history and traditions to visit the Cape Coast Diocese, which he described as a fountain of heritage and spiritual renewal. He made these revelations while speaking ahead of the upcoming Extended GPC and the climax of the 190th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for 19th–24th August 2025 in Cape Coast.
Rt. Rev. Aboagye Andam further urged members of the Methodist Church to remain committed to the norms and principles that have guided generations of believers, reminding them that these values are central to the growth of the Church and its mission.
Highlighting the Church’s impact, Rt. Rev. Richardson Andam explained that the Methodist presence in Cape Coast has not only revived the spiritual life of the community but has also contributed immensely to the city’s development and the well-being of its people.
Rt. Rev. Andam reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Methodist Church Ghana, under the leadership of the Presiding Bishop, Most Rev. Prof. J. Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, to safeguard its heritage while continuing to bring transformation to communities across the nation.
