The international break has seen most of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad depart for international duty, including winger Raphinha, who joined the Brazilian national team under Carlo Ancelotti despite qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup already being secured.
Brazil defeated Chile 3-0 in Rio de Janeiro, with Raphinha starting the match, and the team will next travel to Bolivia for their final qualifier on September 9.
While focused on international duties, Raphinha made headlines off the pitch after publicly accusing Disneyland Paris of racism against his children.
In a strongly worded post on social media, the Barcelona star alleged that staff at the theme park deliberately ignored his son during a family visit.
“Your employees are a disgrace. You shouldn’t treat people like that, especially a CHILD. You’re supposed to make children happy, not snub a child,” Raphinha wrote.
“I understand the fatigue of those who work there, but why were all the white children embraced and my son wasn’t? He just wanted a ‘hi’ and a hug. Lucky for you, he doesn’t understand. I hate you @DisneylandParis.”
The post has sparked widespread discussion online, with many fans expressing support for the Brazilian. Disneyland Paris has yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
Barcelona return to La Liga action on September 14 against Valencia, although uncertainty remains over whether the revamped Estadi Camp Nou will be ready in time to host the fixture at reduced capacity.
