The GNPC Foundation has officially welcomed 151 newly trained medical doctors who have completed their studies in Cuba under the Foundation’s full scholarship programme.
This achievement marks a significant investment in Ghana’s healthcare sector and reflects the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to building a robust, equitable, and resilient health system.
The doctors received a warm reception upon their return to Ghana and are now prepared to begin their careers in service to the nation. Their training in Cuba—renowned globally for its high-quality, community-focused medical education—has equipped them with the skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to healthcare delivery, especially in underserved and rural communities.
Speaking on the milestone, Ms. Helga JM Boadi, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to health-focused initiatives. She highlighted ongoing investments in the construction of health facilities, provision of essential medical equipment, and continuous human capital development.
Ms. Boadi further emphasized the Foundation’s alignment with national and global health goals, particularly Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), reiterating GNPC Foundation’s role as a key partner in advancing Ghana’s healthcare agenda.
