The Methodist Church Ghana has inducted Bro Alfred Sakyi as its 10th Lay President, ushering in a new chapter of leadership and service in the Church.
The induction service brought together clergy, lay representatives, church leaders and members of the Church to witness the formal transition of leadership.
Bro Sakyi takes over from the immediate past Lay President, Bro Kwesi Atta-Antwi, who previously served in the position.
The service was officiated by the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, the Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, who led the congregation through the ceremony.
As the new Lay President, Bro Sakyi assumes the responsibility of leading and representing the laity in the affairs of the Church, working alongside its leadership to advance the mission and ministry of Methodism in Ghana.
His induction marks the start of a new term of service, with the laity continuing to play an important role in the growth and work of the Methodist Church Ghana.
