Begoro Police hunt Guest House Operator “James Bond” over suspected murder of girlfriend

Police in Begoro have launched an intense search for a well-known guest house operator popularly called “James Bond,” who is alleged to have murdered his girlfriend at the BJ Tech Guest House in Ehiamankyene, located in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region.

The deceased, widely known in the community as Koryo, was a popular food vendor at the Ehiamankyene market. According to family sources, she and the suspect share a child, although the two were not cohabiting and the relationship was reportedly kept discreet due to strong disapproval from her relatives.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, when Koryo visited the suspect at his guest house but failed to return home. Her prolonged absence raised concerns among her family.

Her younger brother, who went searching for her, visited the guest house and, upon peeping through a window, discovered her lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. He immediately alerted their parents, who then informed the police.

Officers from the Begoro Police Station retrieved the body on the evening of Thursday, November 13, 2025, and transported it to the Begoro Government Hospital morgue for preservation and further examination.

The incident sparked outrage in the community. A group of angry youth, overwhelmed with grief and anger, set fire to the suspect’s Apsonic GY9 motorbike and reportedly attempted to burn down the guest house before being restrained.

Confirming the incident, John Kwame Narh, Deputy Director of NADMO in the Fanteakwa South District, stated that the suspect has fled and is currently being sought by the police. Authorities are urging residents to remain calm and allow the investigative process to proceed.

Police have assured the public that a full investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing and to ensure that the suspect is brought to justice.
