The exercise, which will run until Friday, November 27, 2026, will cover residential, commercial and industrial customers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with unpaid bills.
General Manager for External Communications at ECG, Dr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, announced the exercise on behalf of the company, urging customers with outstanding bills to settle their debts to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection charges.
He said the exercise forms part of efforts to improve revenue collection and strengthen the company's financial position to support efficient operations and reliable electricity supply.
Dr Ayiku disclosed that special teams would be deployed to monitor the exercise and deal with cases of illegal electricity connections, interference with the operation and unauthorised reconnection of power supplies after disconnection.
He warned that customers found engaging in such practices risk arrest and prosecution.
The announcement gives customers with outstanding bills a limited period to settle their debts before the exercise begins on November 9.
Customers who have difficulty accessing their bills have been advised to visit their nearest ECG office for assistance.
The company has also encouraged customers to make payments through its approved channels, particularly the ECG Mobile App, which is available on the Google Play Store.
For further assistance, customers can contact ECG's Contact Centre on 0302 611611 or reach the company through its social media platforms.
Dr Ayiku reaffirmed ECG's commitment to providing reliable electricity services and appealed to customers to fulfil their payment obligations and cooperate with officials during the exercise.
He said customer cooperation would help strengthen the company's ability to deliver improved services.
