Prez Mahama to present 2026 state of the nation address today

President John Dramani Mahama is set to appear before Parliament today, February 27, 2026, to deliver the 2026 State of the Nation Address.

The annual speech will provide an extensive review of the country’s current outlook, detailing progress made by the administration and setting out major policy directions for the months ahead.

The President is expected to address key areas of national development, including economic performance, healthcare delivery, education reforms, agricultural growth and infrastructure expansion. Matters relating to Ghana’s diplomatic engagements and global partnerships are also anticipated to feature prominently in the address.

The presentation comes at a time when the government says it is working to consolidate macroeconomic stability, strengthen public services and accelerate industrial development across the country.

The address is delivered in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which requires the President to appear before Parliament at the beginning of each session to update the House on the condition of the nation and the direction of governance.
