The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is reported to be in stable condition after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 2:00am at Pai-Katanga in the Oti Region as the King was travelling back to Accra from Tamale.
Palace sources say he had earlier journeyed to the Northern Region on a private visit at the invitation of the Yaa Naa, Yaa Naa Abukari II.
The meeting was described as warm and symbolic, forming part of ongoing efforts by traditional rulers to strengthen unity, cooperation and mutual respect among Ghana’s respected chieftaincy institutions.
However, while returning to Accra, the Ga Mantse’s vehicle was involved in the accident. He fortunately escaped without injuries and is said to be in good condition.
Although full details of the crash are yet to be disclosed, there is widespread relief at the palace, with aides expressing gratitude that the Ga Mantse remains safe and in high spirits.
