New Chapel dedicated in Northern Accra Diocese

The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, has dedicated a new chapel, Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Buade-Shikaman, within the Northern Accra Diocese.

The chapel was built by Dr. and Mrs. Wilson and furnished by other members of the church.

The chapel is estimated to accommodate about 120 congregants per session, is a great addition to the church’s efforts to expand God’s kingdom.

The Presiding Bishop expressed his support for the church and thanked the members who contributed to the construction of the chapel.

The Presiding Bishop, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Asamoah-Gyadu acknowledged the efforts of key contributors, including Sis. Janet Freda Badiako Asare, the past Lay Chairman of the Koforidua Diocese; David King Panyin, the Property Steward; Sis. Adwoa Apreku, who led the purchase of the land; and Bro. Daniel Wilson, the caretaker.

The Presiding Bishop further advised the church not to despise small beginnings but to invest and stay within their places of worship to see them bloom to their full potential.

He thanked Dr. and Mrs. Wilson for their generosity and prayed for God’s blessings upon them.

The Presiding Bishop dedicated the chapel to be set aside for sacred purposes, praying that it would be a place for celebration of the Holy Sacrament, preaching of the everlasting Gospel, and promotion of righteousness.

The dedication of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Buade-Shikaman, marks a significant milestone in the church’s mission to spread the word of God and serve the community.
